After watching the Scrubs musical episode yet again, and remembering how popular the Buffy musical episode is (for people who have seen the series-- if I look this episode up, will I have any idea what's going on?) it occurred to me that what the world really needs is a Supernatural musical episode.

C'mon, Kripke, the track list for that would be phenomenal. ;-)

Nobody has to get detailed, but I have been stalling like crazy on watching the last three episodes of Supernatural because I've got this really bad feeling that they're going to kill Bela and if they do it's going to depress me for a week.

I asked my brother, who's seen them all, and he says he doesn't remember. I asked how in the world he could not remember something like that, and he said once I see the last few minutes of the season that I'll understand. Yeah, like that doesn't worry me, too.

So spill it, people, yes or no: does Bela live through the season or not?

((and so help me, if they do kill her they had best be bringing Ellen or John or Missouri back. Yes, it's the Sam and Dean show, but it's not the Sam and Dean ONLY show. I want my awesome recurring characters, dammit))

Will hopefully get to a more in-depth review of latest episodes watched sometime next week (Jus in Bello OMG), but for now:

We're driving back home after ordering some more checks from the bank, and I'm doing my usual 'keep switching stations until I manage to find a good song' thing. And what do I find but "Heat of the Moment".

So of course I go into Dean's point-and-lip-synch routine.

Result? My husband does an actual real-life facepalm. The day is a good one. ;-)

Okay, so I finally got my grabby little hands on a copy (borrowing from my brother until ours arrives from amazon) and watched part of it last night. Spoilers under the cut!

And that's all until I watch some more episodes.

-- thought processes after watching P.S. I Love You.

Hormones: "Hellllll-lo."
Brain: "Oh, not again. Now what?"
Hormones: "How did I get through two seasons of Supernatural without noticing that Jeffrey Dean Morgan is hot?"
Brain: "Easy. You were too busy ogling Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki."
Hormones: "Still. I should be better at multitasking by now. And speaking of multitasking, Gerard Butler isn't half bad either. . ."
Brain: "No. You stop it right now; I mean it."
Hormones: "What?"
Brain: "Every time you find somebody else to squeak over you end up wasting time on a Google images search and we have too much to do today."
Hormones: "Yeah? Like what?"
Brain: "Laundry and dishes, and the CDs and DVDs need organized, and of course Kaylee needs to be fed and changed, and some recipes need typed up, and we really should hang up those pictures that have been sitting on the shelf for--" *collapses under weight of list* "Help."
Hormones: "Sure thing. In a few minutes."
Brain: "I hate you."
Hormones: "I can handle that." *skips off to Google*

I read fanfiction. Specifically, Supernatural fanfiction. [info]apocalypsos's John/Mary stories are absolutely lovely.

My favorite so far is "Straight On 'Til Morning", with "Meanwhile, Back at the Ranch" coming in a closeclose second.

You know how good she is? Anything with a Sam/Dean pairing is very much not my cup of tea (I know, that puts me in with .0001% of the fandom or something) but I'm tempted to read hers anyway. :-)

Indeed I am. :-D

Ten minutes after I made my last post, I went downstairs and we started the next to last episode-- and what song do they play over the recap but "Carry On Wayward Son".

Me: "Eeeeeee!!!"
Chris: "Yeah, those were my eardrums. They'll be missed."

This actually happened once before . . . I was looking forward to seeing Hard Rain, and my cousin was visiting and playing one of her Jars of Clay CDs. It got to the song "Flood" and I said, "Hey, wouldn't it be cool if they played this somewhere in the movie?" I nearly forgot all about it until I was sitting in the theater, and that song started playing over the end credits.

But back to Supernatural . . . gah, cliffhanger of doom! The writers are evil. *begins the long, impatient wait for Season 2 on DVD*

Only two episodes left . . . when is the second season coming out on DVD? :-P

I want two things to happen: 1) I want to see Sarah from the episode Provenance come back, because I really liked her, and 2) I want one of the songs they play to be Kansas's "Carry On Wayward Son".

All for now.

Thought this one was going to get here on Friday or Saturday, but no. *S* Now the very happy owner of the sixth season of M*A*S*H, the first season of Supernatural, and Oscar and Lucinda. :-)

TV-watching time.

(and speaking of TV-watching . . . new LOST tomorrow!)

Had a bunch of CDs to sell, so we headed over to Joplin this morning-- traded the CDs for several movies and Devin bought a couple of video games.

We looked for Supernatural, but one store didn't have it and the other store did, but for twenty bucks higher than amazon.com. So, online order it is.

I did give in and rent the second disk, though-- I'm no good at waiting. How much did I love the Bloody Mary episode? Thismuch. :-D

Now we're going to watch movies . . . we bought Full Metal Jacket, which I haven't seen in forever (Jayne is in it!) and which my brother has never seen, so it's time to further corrupt his mind. Heh. Also bought Spider. Don't remember much about that one except 1) thinking it was incredibly twisted but very good, and 2) it was one of the 'lock my bedroom door so my parents don't open it at the wrong time and say, "What are you watching, young lady?!" and make me stop the tape' movies.

I rented a lot of things at 15/16/17 that would've gotten that reaction. It started when I rented Schindler's List and didn't tell my parents I'd done so until after I already watched it.

When I wanted to see Murder in the First, I mentioned it to mom and dad and they rented it, then told me it was too intense for someone my age. Renting it at a friend's house ensued because, as I said above-- no good at waiting. ;-)

My parents, bless their doomed mission, both tried to be cautious with the whole, "Is this suitable material?" thing-- mom worried more about violence and language, while dad didn't worry so much about the violence as he did whether or not the movie was glorifying it. Meanwhile I just wanted to see anything and everything right then. Even if it was dark and violent. Okay, especially if it was dark and violent.

You know that "When other little girls wanted to be ballerinas, I kinda wanted to be a vampire" icon? I need that icon.

Because I have a new show to squeak over.

Chris and I rented the first disc of Supernatural last night, and after four episodes I am completely hooked (in part because Dean is so snarkily awesome).

I've always loved ghost stories and haunted houses and stuff like that, so the show is right up my alley. You should've heard me:

"Oooooh! They're doing a Woman in White story!"
"Hey! A wendigo!"

So if we happen to find the first season when we go shopping this afternoon, we might just have to indulge. ;-)
